La Goldfeather aété fabriquée à une époque où les mouvements étaient assembléset réglés en grande partie à la main, et portait encore lanciennom de Seiko, «Seikosha». Lassemblage du calibre 60M aété particulièrement complexe pour la marque, compte tenu de safinesse (2,95mm). À titre de comparaison, le calibre 849 deJaeger-LeCoultre (introduit dans les années90) mesure 1,85mmdépaisseur, tandis que le calibre le plus fin actuellement produitpar Seiko est le 6898, avec 1,98mm dépaisseur. Noteztoutefois que ces deux modèles ne comportent que les aiguilles desheures et des minutes, sans trotteuse centrale. Stainless steel case: 36.5 mm diameter excluding crown, free of shocks on the front or back and bearing the inscriptions: "Seiko Goldfeather", "Stainless Steel" and "J15002E"... patinated, but still legible. Works impeccably, checked and adjusted in February 2025. Glass free of scratches or frosted. Caramel leather strap, new. 25 jewel movement (very clean, despite some visible alterations on the periphery... only!), rare model with an extremely rare and original dial + Crosshair dial, signed crown (SW)... Daini Seikoshas "answer" (in 1960), to the Citizen Hi-Line of 1961... all in finesse! The Goldfeather was made at a time when movements were largely assembled and adjusted by hand, and still carried Seikos old name, "Seikosha." Assembling the caliber 60M was particularly complex for the brand, given its thinness (2.95 mm). For comparison, Jaeger-LeCoultres caliber 849 (introduced in the 1990s) measures 1.85 mm thick, while the thinnest caliber currently produced by Seiko is the 6898, at 1.98 mm thick. Note, however, that both of these models feature only the hour and minute hands, with no central seconds hand.
